The Viking Queen's Grave

In a large barrow at Oseberg in Norway archaeologists made a fantastic discovery. They found a Viking ship with a burial chamber and a whole lot of equipment. Tora and Ravn are also there and experience all the exciting things that occur during the excavation at Oseberg. They are fictitious, but the tales in the book are based on what archaeologists and researchers discovered when they examined the skeletons of the animals and humans, the ship, beds, chests, remains of food and everything else that lay in the grave.

Trond Bredesen’s illustrations bring the stories alive and stimulate the imagination. The factual pages have pictures of finds and archaeological excavations.
