The two of them stared at each other for a few painful seconds. The snow was almost frozen in the air. Kodak felt tears pressing at the backs of his eyes, and without a sound his lips shaped the word E S C A P E.
Who will be selected? Who will be rejected?For how long can the regime's game go on?
The state of Skandia keeps its population in an iron grip. The culture and identities of the old countries have been erased. Art, literature and music is prohibited. The rain is poisonous and the sea inaccessible. Most people grow up in dorms, without family. The competition to be chosen for officer's training is fierce. Then, right before the selection, Kodak, Livni and Jor discover a terrible secret. They have to act. And they have to act fast.
