She is half Norwegian and half Zulu. She has been an actor, a punk rocker, assistant leader of Norway’s national organization for homosexuals and lesbians and a journalist.
Today she works as a teacher in Grünerløkka, Oslo, where she lives with her wife and child.
In the spring of 2009 she had her first book published; the novel Wingspan.
