
Finn Iunker (b. 1969) made his international breakthrough as a playwright with The Answering Machine in 1994. The following year, he published the short prose collection Ventiler, and has since written numerous plays, as well as Fortellinger, a book that received considerable critical acclaim upon its publication in 2006.
Iunker’s plays have been performed in most Western European countries, as well as in Canada and Peru. In 2006, he was awarded the Ibsen Prize for his body of dramatic work. He holds a PhD from the University of Oslo, where he completed a dissertation on Bertolt Brecht in 2014. In 2020, he completed a practice-based PhD at Oslo National Academy of the Arts.
